What’s Included in an All-Inclusive Hawaii Elopement Package for Two?

If you are planning a Hawaii elopement from the mainland, the idea of pulling together an officiant, photographer, permits, leis, and legal paperwork on an island you have never visited can feel overwhelming. That is exactly the problem all-inclusive packages are designed to solve. Instead of coordinating separate vendors and chasing down requirements on your own, everything is bundled into one booking with one team.

But “all-inclusive” means different things to different companies. This blog breaks down what is actually included in our Hawaii elopement packages for 2 at Kona Wedding Officiant®, what is available as an add-on, and how to choose the right package for your ceremony.

A Licensed Officiant and Personalized Ceremony

Every one of our all inclusive Hawaii elopement packages includes a licensed minister from Kona Wedding Officiant® who performs a ceremony personalized to your relationship. We do not use a single script for every couple. During your free consultation by phone, email, or Zoom, we learn about your story, your preferences, and your ceremony style. For couples searching for Hawaii wedding packages with an officiant, this personalized approach is what sets our team apart.

Our officiants perform non-denominational, Hawaiian, Christian, spiritual, and non-religious ceremonies. Hawaiian ceremonies can include cultural elements like the blowing of the pu (conch shell) to begin the ceremony, lei exchanges, sand blending, ring blessings, and hand binding. You can also write your own vows or work with your officiant to select vows that reflect your relationship.

Professional In-House Photography

Our Hawaii elopement photographer team is in-house, not outsourced freelancers. They work alongside our officiants at every ceremony, which means they know the ceremony flow, anticipate key moments, and coordinate silently without disrupting your vows. For couples looking for Hawaii wedding packages with photographer included, every package tier (except Officiant Only) comes with professional photography from our team.

Photography coverage and image count depend on the package tier you choose:

  • Just The Basics: 45 minutes of photography, 20 retouched high-resolution images, traditional kukui nut leis. This package accommodates 2 to 6 guests.

  • Standard Elopement: 75 minutes of photography, 60 retouched high-resolution images, fresh flower leis.

Additional images beyond what your package includes are available à la carte through our Wedding Shop. Because our photographer and officiant work as a team at every ceremony, the coordination produces candid images and a smoother ceremony experience.

Big Island Beach Locations

Our standard elopement package takes place at any Big Island beach in West Hawaii. We perform ceremonies at over 20 locations across the island, including golden sand beaches, black sand beaches, and a private waterfall.

West Hawaii (Kona and Kohala Coast) locations include Kuki’o Beach, Kikaua Point Park, Honl’s Beach, Holualoa Beach, Old Kona Airport Beach, Kua Bay, and others. We also perform ceremonies at Hilo Bay on the east side and at Kulaniapia Falls, a private 120-ft waterfall.

For couples drawn to volcanic landscapes, black sand beach locations include Kiholo Bay, Kaimu Beach, Kehena Beach, Kapaa Beach, and Pohoiki Beach. Black sand beach and waterfall ceremonies are available through our adventure elopement packages.

During your free consultation, we help you match the right beach to your ceremony style, your comfort level with terrain, and your preferred time of day.

Leis and Florals

Leis are included in every package. The type depends on the tier:

  • Just The Basics and Officiant Only: Traditional kukui nut leis

  • Standard Elopement and above: Fresh flower leis

Couples who want upgraded florals can book our Lehua Package, which adds a bridal bouquet, boutonniere, two premium Hawaiian leis, and a haku head crown or hairpiece. Individual floral items are also available à la carte through our Wedding Shop, including hand-tied bouquets, cascading orchid bouquets, flower hairpieces, and premium lei options like ti maile and double orchid leis.

Beach Permit and Marriage License Filing

Our all inclusive Hawaii elopement packages include a Hawaii state beach permit and marriage license filing. Our team obtains 95% of beach permits on behalf of couples. For certain state-managed locations, couples may need to apply for the permit separately, and we will let you know which category your preferred beach falls into during your consultation.

After your ceremony, you, your partner, and your officiant sign the marriage license together. We then file it with the State of Hawaii on your behalf. Your official marriage certificate will be available online within approximately 3 business days, and a printed copy will arrive by mail in about 6 weeks.

What Is Not Included (But Available as Add-Ons)

Our base Hawaii elopement packages focus on the ceremony essentials. The following are available as optional upgrades:

  • Live ukulele music: Our Mele Package adds one hour of professional ukulele to the standard elopement

  • 4K videography: Our Nani Photo Video Package adds a full 4K ceremony video and highlight film

  • Florals: Bouquets, boutonnieres, haku crowns, and premium leis through the Lehua Package or individually from our Wedding Shop

  • Additional ceremony touches: Ring blessing bowls and other personalized items are available à la carte

How to Choose the Right Package

Start by asking yourself a few questions. Do you want photography, or just an officiant? If photography matters, how many images do you want, and how much coverage time do you need? Do florals, music, or video matter to you, or are you happy with a simple ceremony and photos?

For couples who want the essentials at the most accessible price, Just The Basics covers your Hawaii wedding photographer and officiant, 20 images, permit, and leis.

For couples who want more photography time and images, the Standard Elopement is one of our most popular Hawaii elopement packages. From there, you can add specific upgrades with the Mele, Lehua, or Nani packages.

Every couple who reaches out to us receives a free consultation where we walk through packages, beach options, ceremony styles, and pricing so you know exactly what you are getting before you book. We can also accommodate last-minute elopements with as little as two days’ notice.

Kona Wedding Officiant® is one of the most trusted and experienced Big Island wedding teams for all inclusive Hawaii elopement packages, with thousands of ceremonies performed.
