Deanna DiMichele, owner and licensed minister, feels so proud, lucky and blessed to be the owner of Kona Wedding Officiant®. Being with couples on the happiest day of their life is hands down the best part of Deanna's job.
Deanna has a bachelor's degree from Stockton University in Philosophy and Religion. Deanna received a post baccalaureate degree in English Language Arts from the University of Hawaii Manoa, where she taught in Hawaii State for many years as a public school English Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher. As a wedding officiant, Deanna is currently enrolled in the University of Hawaii, continuing education in Hawaiian Language.
Deanna has a strong background in Hawaiian cultures and traditions through her past work as a teacher in the state of Hawaii and her continued love of education. She enjoys reading Hawaiian myths and legends and learning new Oli that she can bring to her wedding ceremonies.
She loves staying active. She belongs to a local choir here in Kailua-Kona. Deanna is an avid hiker, surfer, and runner. She has hiked almost every trail on Hawaii Big Island from mauka to makai. Before moving to Hawaii Big Island, Deanna thru-hiked 1,200 miles of the Appalachian Trail.
