Elizabeth and Shane were recently married in Pahoa, Hawaii at one of my favorite black sand beaches. With one of our all inclusive Adventure Elopement Packages, this couple eloped in Hawaii (just the two of them!) on a secluded black sand beach. Elizabeth and Shane were greeted by Kehena Black Sand Beach with love, Aloha, and a bright Hawaii sun for their special day.
This couple headed down to Kehena Black Sand Beach where I met them to deliver their handcrafted flower crown “haku” made by one of our local Big Island florists. Elizabeth and Shane soon began their first photography session with one of Kona Wedding Officiant®’s team photographers while Deanna DiMichele, their officiant, set up for their wedding ceremony at their chosen ceremony location.
After their first photography session by the shallow lava cliffs and black sand beach, Elizabeth and Shane were ready to be married in Hawaii. Their ceremony began with the blowing of the pu and a Hawaiian Oli. This couple performed personal words, had a Hawaiian ring blessing and a hand binding ceremony. After their ceremony, they signed their marriage license together with Deanna at the locally created seating area on the upper part of the beach.
After Elizabeth and Shane returned their Hawaiian blessing water to the sea, this couple followed Deanna up to the tall lava vista cliffs for their second photography session. From this viewpoint, we were able to capture the great Pacific Ocean and black sand beach behind them. Leaving the beach in the distance, we wish Elizabeth and Shane many blessings and much Aloha on their new marriage.
