Margie & Rocky's 50th Wedding Renewal at Kikaua Point

Updated: Feb 16, 2020

Margie and Rocky celebrated a lovely 50th wedding renewal at Kikaua Point with family this past December 2019. This was one of the most beautiful vow renewal ceremonies that I have performed, not only because of the celebration of 50 years, but the love shared between the couple and their wonderful family during this joyous occasion.

One of Kona Wedding Officiant's associate photographers, Marissa Medina, was onsite to capture this intimate event, starting with some family photos of Margie and Rocky.

After capturing some photos at the front of the park, we began Margie and Rocky's ceremony on the other side of Kikaua Point park, in a secluded area that allowed for privacy for this special family gathering.

Margie and Rocky opened with a processional, Rocky walking in first and Margie led down the aisle by her grandson. The couple opened with the blowing of the pu and a Hawaiian Oli Pule (prayer). Rocky gave Margie a flower lei and Margie gave Rocky a maile lei. After, the couple exchanged beautiful vows.

Margie and Rocky had their weddings bands blessed with a Hawaiian chant, ti leaf, ocean water, and koa wood to represent the integrity of their marriage and the start of a new journey as they renewed their vows as husband and wife after 50 wonderful years of marriage. It was my honor to renew this couple's wedding vows in the state of Hawaii.

After the ceremony, the entire family posed for a big family photo. So many blessings to this `ohana.
