Leanne + Braeden's Pololu Valley Adventure Elopement Wedding

Updated: Dec 15, 2020

Leanne and Braeden aren't your typical couple! This couple contacted me back in March 2019 to begin planning their March 2020 Big Island Hawaii Adventure Elopement. They were looking for a Wedding Officiant who was down for an adventure, and fortunately when they found me, they knew they found the right one! Before moving to Hawaii and starting Kona Wedding Officiant I hiked 1,200 miles of the Appalachian Trail and have hiked extensively here on Hawaii's Big Island. When Leanne and Braeden told me that they were looking for a special, once in a lifetime hiking wedding experience, I was really excited to provide that for them.

Not only would we hike into Pololu Valley for this couple's wedding, but we would continue in the valley along the trail. This would lead us to the lookout of Honokane Nui for a real adventure to capture some incredible photographs and gain maximum privacy for Leanne and Braeden. Since Leanne and Braeden are in great shape and love adventure, this was the perfect plan for this couple.

We met early at the Pololu Valley overlook and hiked down as a team. You can view this great adventure on my instagram story "Adventure Elope"

From the base of the valley we climbed up the trail to the overlook where Leanne and Braeden took some beautiful photographs. See some of their wedding day pictures below from the first look to the final goodbyes!
