Chris + Doug's Sunset Elopement in Kikaua Point Park

Chris and Doug shared an intimate elopement this past February at Big Island Hawaii's private Kikaua Point Park in North Kona. We were joined by Kona Wedding Officiant's Associate Photographer, Marissa Medina, who captured this couple's special day to the fullest.

Chris and Doug wanted a private, just the two of us kind of wedding, and at the far end of the park we found quiet and calm away from the few present beach-goers. While I prepared for their wedding ceremony, the Marissa started this couples first photography session around the park.

After capturing some gorgeous pre-wedding photos, Chris and Doug were ready to tie the knot. They began their ceremony with the traditional blowing of the pu (Hawaiian conch shell) and a Hawaiian Oli blessing. After their opening ceremony, Chris and Doug exchanged leis and and a traditional vow exchange.

Chris and Doug exchanged weddings rings and blended the sand beneath their feet. They were next pronounced husband and wife!

After the signing of their marriage license, this couple had a post-wedding photo session in the sunset.

Congratulations Chris and Doug!
